Winscombe Community Association

Covid-19 Update

We are not able to allow ad-hoc visitation at this time, so please only attend via a pre-arranged booking.

We ask that everyone who attends the site follows all relevant government advice, uses hand washing and sanitising provisions, adheres to social distancing practices and wears a mask when indoors.

Welcome to the Winscombe Community Association

Winscombe Community Association (WCA) is a registered charity (no. 280231) that maintains and manages Winscombe Community Centre, in order to provide facilities for the local community. To learn more about the work that WCA do, go to the 'About Us' page.

WCA obtains all its income from hiring out the rooms and facilities at the Centre, and from its fund-raising activities. If you are interested in hiring a room at the Centre, please go to the 'Room Hire' page. To find out how you can help us, please go to the 'Help Us' page.

It is over 30 years since the old Winscombe School was taken over by a newly founded Community Association and developed to become Winscombe Community Centre. This is a major local asset which continues to serve the community well, but there is always a need to look to the future so we are looking at options to move forward with the possible redevelopment of the community buildings. This project has been called WiNSPACE.

If you have views on how the Community Centre should be developed for the future, do not worry – there will be lots of opportunity to HAVE YOUR SAY!

We will be talking to different groups within the Parish to get views, let you know what is happening and build a team to take the project forward.  In the meantime if you have any ideas  or want to get involved in this exciting and important initiative for the villages of Winscombe and Sandford, please let us know by using the Contact Us page, writing in or talking to a trustee.

Anyone interested in being more actively involved with the Association, and particularly in  fundraising to support current facilities, is invited to Contact Us.
